What you'll do
Hi friends!
Are you ready to delve into Mexico's pre-Hispanic history beyond Teotihuacan and conventional tours? If so, we are happy to welcome you to this cultural experience we have prepared for you.
Our trip begins at one of our favorite coffee shops, right in the heart of Roma Norte, where we will meet you to begin the journey to the emblematic state of Tlaxcala, home of the ancient Tlaxcalteca people, where we will visit an old maguey ranch that has been transformed into the Zultepec-Tecoaque Site Museum.
In this museum we will learn about the untold history of Mesoamerican trade in the central valleys of Mexico; and then we will enter the archaeological zone of Tecoaque, a city of great importance for the conquest of the Aztec empire.
After walking and exploring the archaeological zone, we will continue our journey to the San Isidro Magueyero Ranch, where we will learn about the history of pulque, the only 100% pre-Hispanic drink, and the process followed for its production, starting from the planting of the Maguey and up to the fermentation of the honey water to obtain Pulque.
Finally, we will begin the return to Mexico City, of course not before having enjoyed some of the products obtained from the maguey and pulque.
