Service Description

Includes: 1 hr private boat, drinks, tipical snaks, visit a floating farmer and transportation. Hosted in: English and Spanish Tired of tourist traps? Looking for something more real than loud boats and party crowds? Come discover Mexico City’s best-kept secret: the peaceful canals of Tláhuac, where time moves slowly and traditions live on. Just beyond the chaos of downtown lies a world few travelers get to see. We’ll start our journey with a comfortable drive to this hidden gem, a place where ancient canals, floating gardens, and local families still thrive as they have for centuries. Once in Tláhuac, you’ll step onto your private trajinera—a traditional wooden boat reserved just for us. As we glide through the calm waters, you’ll feel the noise of the city fade away. No party boats. No blaring music. Just you, the birds, the breeze, and the magic of authentic Mexico. Along the way, we’ll explore chinampas, the floating islands used for farming since the time of the Aztecs. You’ll see firsthand how this brilliant, sustainable agricultural system still feeds local communities today. This is not a show—it’s real life, lived with pride. While we float, we’ll enjoy traditional snacks and drinks prepared by local families, with ingredients grown right beside the canals. Every bite carries stories of memory, land, and love. As the sun begins to lower, we’ll cruise back slowly, taking time to reflect, breathe, and capture stunning photos of a world most tourists never see. Finally, we’ll return to the city—not just with pictures, but with a sense of connection to the true heart of CDMX. This isn’t Xochimilco. This is deeper. Quieter. More meaningful. A cultural experience, a natural escape, and a story you’ll want to tell.

About me

I'm a Mexico City guide. I live here. I know these neighborhoods like the lines of my own hands. I don't follow scripts. I take small groups to real places because I believe you deserve to actually understand this city—not just photograph it.
